Hycorr Machine Corporation became a subsidiary of Kolbus America on February 1. In a letter sent to customers Fred Harrison, Hycorr Machine’s President, stated, “we have found a worthy successor owner for Hycorr. I have great confidence that the “new” Hycorr will continue to bring innovation and expansion to its product lines while continuing to provide outstanding customer service and timely parts delivery.”
Founded in 1775, Kolbus is the premier manufacturer of industrial book binding machines with a worldwide sales and service organization. Known for innovative product design and customer service delivery solutions, its North American subsidiary Kolbus America will strengthen Hycorr’s ability to produce the quality machinery for which it has become well known. It remains a privately held company with majority ownership still in the Kolbus family. The company employs more than 1300 worldwide.
Hycorr LLC will remain at the same location in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Robert Shafer, President of Hycorr LLC, has more than 26 years experience in the graphic arts machinery industry, and has been President of Kolbus America since 1999. Lance Head has been named Director of Operations, Kalamazoo and Robert (Bob) Bucko Manager of Engineering. The company states that all contacts for sales, service, parts and technical service are unchanged. Fred and Nan Harrison will remain with Hycorr LLC in a consulting capacity.
